Dermatologist Procedures???

Does anyone on here know the names of the following procedures...





1. A face peel where they remove all dead skin


2. A lazer treatment where they even out your skin





This has nothing to do with face lifts or anything but i%26#039;d like to know if anyone got them done and if they had good results.





What are the names of these procedures and the costs??|||1) Face Peel (or chemical peel) - they use acids or chemicals to %26quot;peel%26quot; or shed the topmost layer of skin. This is good when you want to remove some light blemishes and small scars (not deep). Results are not so dramatic (as it is only the topmost layer). You will have redness and skin peeling for a few weeks until it heals (depends on chemicals and skin).





2) Laser Peeling - same as above but using laser. I wouldn%26#039;t recommend it as laser kills hair follicles. If your face if hairy, you will have bald spots.





Instead of laser, go for Dermabrasion. It has been proven to be safe, effective and cheaper. Dermabrasion can be full or micro (small sessions). Full dermabrasion will take weeks to heal but microdermabrasion only a few hours (but more sessions). Dermabrasion is like sanding your face so that the skin would be even. Normally used as a treatment for deep scar and lines.|||1) face peel, i know some fruit acids are used, it stings a little upon application, after treatment, face may feel tight and peel slightly in a few days , thereafter the new skin will be bright and glows, sffect lasts at least a month





2)lazer treatment, ice cold gel will be applied to area to be treated and lazered , a kind of light will flash across your face, light can be blinding and it sounds like whip across your face, pain tolerance for me, a vain pot ; very tolerable. it can clear you of freckles and dis-colourations if conditions not severe in 1 or few sessions. results lasts if you use sun screens and keep out of 1-3pm sun bathing
