Thanks for your help!!! :-)|||%26quot; As part of their general medical training, dermatologists must complete a first-year residency in a clinical setting focusing on internal medicine, general surgery, family practice, gynecology, pediatrics, or emergency medicine. %26quot;

It%26#039;s a copy from the site below.

Take a look at the source link below. ^-^ It should help!

Dermatologist shaved my face?!!!!!!?

I went to see a dermatologist for my acne, and she said my face was %26quot;a little fuzzy%26quot; so she shaved it!! She said it won%26#039;t grow back dark or thick but I%26#039;m not so sure? I%26#039;m freaked out|||It won%26#039;t grow back thicker but the ends will be blunt instead of fine, so they may feel different. It%26#039;s not that big of a deal though.|||it may not grow back thick but it will grow back, and it will look like stubble if you have dark hair! that%26#039;s ridiculous! the doctor should have recommended another hair removal method that lasts longer than shaving. I knew a girl who had peach fuzz on her face but it was very light blonde hair. she had painful electrolysis for years and I don%26#039;t think it did any good. if you%26#039;re self conscious about it you could have it waxed or threaded off. but now your doctor has gotten you into a cycle of shaving that area and now you have to pay for the upkeep. I would contact the doctor%26#039;s office immediately and ask what kind of ongoing compensation they can offer you due to this screw up. you%26#039;re going to have to have that hair removed year in and year out forever so the doctor better pay. if not then report him or her to the BBB and medical board and dept of health.

Dermatologist help please!?

well i live in the bronx, ny, westchester square, a little near morris park, but i need help finding dermatologists b%26#039;cuz i cant find any, well i tried google maps, but i couldnt really find it, all im asking is for locations and very near dermatologists! please help out.|||Well, I know in Brooklyn they have doctor%26#039;s offices all over the place. Have you ever tried Hanson Place or %26quot;the clock building%26quot; (the building near the Atlantic Center Mall %26amp; LIRR) with the big clock at the top. That place has many many doctor%26#039;s offices, dentist%26#039;s offices, EVERYTHING. I know it%26#039;s not close, but it%26#039;s the best I could come up with. Good luck with that. [=|||If you have insurance, they probably have a website where you can find doctors on your plan in your area. You can usually select the speciality you need.

Or, call a local hospital and get names from them.

How can you close facial pores in a very cheap way or without going to dermatologists?

Try the white of egg three times a week.It really tighten the pores.Work wonder for me after steaming my face,I scrub it with a facial scrub the wash it with warm water. Then with Cold water then the egg white for 15minutes.try it|||Rubbing Alcohol and Ice Cubes.|||Facial pores are absolutely essential. They should not be closed. It is through these pores sweat and sebum(the fatty oily substance )come out of your body.(pores exist all over the skin not merely the facial skin). In fact one must keep the pores wide open.If the face looks less beautiful because of excessive sweat and sebum(oil)frequent washing of face with a mild soap is advised.|||wash in warm.rinse in cold.cold water makes the pores constrict.maybe even use ice water if u want to go a little more extreme.|||dont take any hasty decisions

do meditations true to your heart

love everybody from your heart

be polite actual not pretend|||Buy a mild facial scrub - there are plenty of ranges for men Anthony Logistics includes facial scrubs and deep pore cleansing clay specifically for men. If you go to your local chemist, I%26#039;m sure you%26#039;ll find similar products.

If you have the time and don%26#039;t mind making your own, you can make your own facial scrub using mixing ground almonds, ground oats with cider vinegar and spreading it on your face. It smells a little strong but does help cleanse.

These days there%26#039;s nothing wrong with men looking after themselves ;)|||My daughter%26#039;s complexion improved significantly using vitamin B5 and drinking seven (for her size) glasses of water a day. I was doubtful about it until I saw the results. I%26#039;m going to do it too.|||you could try turning on the HOT water in your sink and putting a lg towel behind your head out your near the sink so that the steam is stuck under the towel and your head is in the steam stay that way for 5 or 10 min. (if you plug the sink and let in fill half way with hot water then turn the water down to low it will help save water, and work well) this is a good way to clean your pores. hop it helps.|||Use the oil if skin is dry!

Use the pulp of potato if skin is oily!|||I steam my face (hanging my head over a bsin of hot, steaming water and letting it stay like that for a while.) and then give it a wash with a scrub - St Ives Apricot scrub is the best for that. And then wash off with cold water and patted dry.

Drinking lots of water helps too.|||You don%26#039;t want to close them, you need them. Let you%26#039;re skin breathe!|||ice|||After washing your face with warm water, you need to rinse in cold water, this will close the pores.

CAN I SUE MY DERMATOLOGIST?

can i sue my dermatologist for not keeping promise .i went to the dermatologist and got the laser treatment it cost me 3000 dollars plus cream and pills and then 750 dollars for acne scars i ask when am i gonna see result and one of the doctors said from 6 months so i waited n i stop going after a year bebecause never saw any results and i still have acne and acne scars . im pretty sure that they still have my record

can i sue or not ? any attorney advice ? thanks|||Well since you dished out almost 4 Grand on their paychecks and you have no results YES I think that you could sue them|||u can sue anybody for anything so ya but remember it costs you to sue some one so figure out if it is worth it or not hope i helped

The cost at a dermatologist????

how much does it cost to just visit the dermatologist for a checkup?

what about prescription acne medication???how much does it cost you to get some???|||Acne is a medical condition. If you have medical insurance, check with your policy and/or doctor you plan on going to. The medication would also be covered by health insurance.|||The only dermatologist Ive ever been to was the one at the health center at my college. Since I%26#039;m a student there, I was offered services at about 15 dollars per session. |||I saw a dermatologist a few years back and he charged $100 per visit. I%26#039;m located in New York City, so maybe things might be more expensive here than elsewhere. But the medication is whats gonna cost you most. He prescribed me some acne medication and they cost over $100 and its very small too! You have to keep refilling them if you want to keep using it and I think thats what cost the most.

Im going to the dermatologist....?

for my back acne and i was wondering if im gonna have to get a shot in my back. also has anyone been to the dermatologist for their back or face, does it work?|||I%26#039;ve been to the dermatologist for my face, I don%26#039;t really have problems with my back. But I can assure you that they will NOT inject you with anything. The doctor will have to check out the area in order to prescribe you something though. As it%26#039;s really hard to apply stuff to your back, you may be prescribed a pill. Even though we don%26#039;t have the same problem, I%26#039;ve been using the stuff I was prescribed and my face is looking better than ever. Good luck and I hope it works for you :)|||Most likely they%26#039;ll make you take your shirt off so they can see it and then prescribe you either a pill or a topical cream, probably both and then tell you to come back in a couple of months to see if it%26#039;s working.|||I%26#039;ve been to the dermatologist for my back and face, they prescribed me a pill and differn, I doubt if you%26#039;ll get a shot.

Yes, it worked loads for me :)

To become a dermatologist??

im 17 now, how old will i be when im a dermatologist. and do they have time for anything like spending time with husband. will they be too busy all the time..|||skin is one of the less taxing diciplines, with fewer emergency cases. by the time u finish studies u might be 27 or 28.

Any Spanish speaker dermatologist in Toronto?????

Do you guys know any Spanish speaker dermatologist in Toronto?????|||This has got to be the most target-specific question I have ever seen here.

I mean, a phone book check turned up nothing for you on this? Or a series of calls to a dermatogist%26#039;s office to clarify?

Where can I find an African American dermatologists in Colorado?

well you could just look up all the dermatologists in colorado , call up their offices and ask them if they are African American. Kind of a weird that your doctor has to be a specific race. Whats wrong with a doctor who is good in their chosen field, someone you feel comfortable with, listens to you and includes you in the treatment decision making?

If you had two doctors one who was the best in his field and the other was just run of the mill how would you pick which doctor would be yours ??? Would you line then up side by side and pick the African American based on his skin color?

Without knowing anything else about him?|||I posted this somewhere else and I will say it again. It is clear that you and other Caucasian people who are saying the same thing or buffoons. The dermatological market does not specialize in black peoples skin. Report Abuse
|||That is why she specifically asked for an African American doctor because there%26#039;s a high possibility that they will know how to treat her skin. This has nothing to do with discrimination inbred! Report Abuse

Going to a Dermatologist...?

I don%26#039;t have really bad acne, it%26#039;s never big pimples. It%26#039;s just mostly LOTS of little ones and blackheads. I%26#039;ve tried many products though nothing works. My mom made an appointment with a dermatologist to help. (I%26#039;m only 14 by the way)

The dermatologist isn%26#039;t going to be giving me any pills (we agreed) so what else will she do? Also how long will it take to clear up my face?

Thank you!! :-D|||When I went to ther dermatologist, she looked at my face and examined my case and type of acne. She will then prescribe you a fast acting medication such as DUAC, Differin, ect. You will want to follow a strict routine with keeping your face clean at all times. This should clear up in about a month

DDF (doctor's dermatologist formula)?

hi,

i am wondering where can i get DDF products in Canada. i dont want to order online .so please let me know if there is a shop or a drug store that carry this brand

thanks|||if there is a sephora near you, they carry it. :)

Acne and dermatologist?

so i have moderate severe acne, and i went to the dermatologist, but the prescription has barely had an effect on me, he told me to come back 2 months later, but is it really worth, my ex girlfriend went to the same dermatologist and her acne is completely gone wtf? and it only took her a month for her skin to clear up

should i go back and give it one more chance?|||everyone%26#039;s acne is different, and thus everyone%26#039;s acne regimen should be somewhat different and tailored to the person, assuming that you have a good dermatologist. Since you didn%26#039;t say what medicine you were given, i don%26#039;t have a clue as to how long I should expect before it works. Since he wanted to see you back in two months, then I%26#039;d keep using the product until your next visit and if it%26#039;s not clear, then hopefully he%26#039;ll reevaluate the situation and get u on a different product.|||defently the doctor could of looked at your acne rong.

and you can get new prescriptions.

and it will go away (:

PLEASE ANSWER! dermatologist ?:D?

i have a kinda bad acne problem..and im going to go see a dermatologist soon........

well anyway my question is...how quickly can a dermatologistmake my acne go away? like one month, a few months, a year?? |||My dermatologists gave me some stuff that he said would be a noticable change in 9 monthes BUT it actually started to clear up in about 2 weeks....everyone is different I got some AMAZING creams from my dermatologists so I hope the best for you!

Mole removal/ dermatologist?

I want to get my moles removed on my face...they are not that big but I still want to get them off for cosmetic reasons....How much would it cost if I have Kaiser Permanente insurance? And is there another way to get it removed? Like lotions.... or something like this

http://www.amazon.com/Dermatend-Mole-Skin-Removal-Small/dp/B0010AZ6Q2/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

And will this product create scars?|||I have removed about 10 moles from my fingers/hands successfully by myself and they have never come back. Although I am not sure that I can recommend my technique. However I am aware that there are home kits that do the same thing.

I used a can of freeze (you can get it at an electrical/electronic shop). It is usually used for freezing components like capacitors in electronic circuits to see if they go faulty under temperature changes. Note that these cans come with a warning not to use it on your body.

Get a straw that covers the mole and the mole only. Spray a shot of the freeze down the straw and directly onto the mole. The mole should turn white and frosty from the freeze. Do this a couple of times a day over say a week. Within 2 weeks or so your mole should disappear completely without leaving a scar.

Obviously the home kit that you can purchase from the doctors would be the best solution, but this works just the same and is probably a lot cheaper and lasts a lot longer should you have many moles to remove.

I do not recommend that you do this without a doctors advice.|||If you laser remove, and leave it alone it will not scar. Just dont mess around with it.

HELP!!!!!!!! dermatologist!!!!!!!!!!!!! [ACNE]!!!!!?

I have A lot of Acne and just wanted to know If a dermatologist could help clear all of it up?? Also, how much would it cost to see a visit, and the prescription he will give me?

+ if u go there, what would they do? do they give u any blood work or anything?|||Here is the best free advice you will ever get for acne| Cut back on all dairy foods especially milk which can aggravate acne as it comes from cows which are always pregnant (hormones) Stop eating salty crisps %26amp; snacks or adding salt to anything (iodine agrevates acne) Wash your face with warm not hot water and gently pat dry dont use soap as it has a drying affect on the skin Dont bother with soaps that say antibacterial as all soaps are this Drink lots of water and raw fruit %26amp; veg Get the doctor to prescribe a low dose antibiotic and see how it goes Good Luck|||my mom works for a dermatologist and has people come in all the time for light acne. Occassionaly they might send you to do bloodwork if they find it%26#039;s neccessary. They don%26#039;t give you much but creams and instructions on how to wash your face which isn%26#039;t that expensive.

Now if it%26#039;s severe as in all over your body, painful, or completely covers your face to the point of where its always red they can prescribe you Accutane i believe it is. This stuff is hard core. You WILL have to get bloodwork done about every 3-6 months I believe it is and if you%26#039;re a girl it%26#039;s worse. I believe you have to get a pregnancy test every couple of months because the medicine is so STRONG it%26#039;ll deform or kill the baby. There%26#039;s lots of medical stuff involved with it and comes with side effects so it%26#039;s not taken lightly. But it works.

For Dermatologist?

WHAT WOULD BE GOOD FOR BLACK CIRCLE UNDER EYES OR SOMETHING THAT CAN HIDE THEM|||sephora has a great product for undereye circles... it may be a little spendy.. just go to their website and check it out

;)

I hate my circles|||Sleep!! It%26#039;s the best cure. Drink lots of water and use cucumber slices too (that%26#039;s the cheapest cure).|||cucumbers and daily exersise.

Another dermatologist question????????????!?

ok i got moisturizer and im wondering if i should put the moisturizer on before the topical gel tht the dermatologist gave me?|||yes

Unqualified dermatologist?

My dumba$$ dermatologist took me off accutane because my triglycerides were 199 mg/dl. Even the most conservative derms will let you slide until about ~350. http://dermatology-s10.cdlib.org/rxderm-archives/accutane-triglycerides

Is there anything I can do about this incompetence?|||Doctor knows the best and if you really feel he is incompetent, I think you should just take a print of what you are stating and ask him to allow you to continue accutane course.

WHICH ONE OF THESE PRODUCTS WOULD A DERMATOLOGIST BE MOST LIKELY TO RECCOMEND FOR SOMEONE WITH ACNE!!?

1) http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>

OR

2) http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a鈥?/a>|||If you go to a dermatologist, they will first start you on a clindamycin cream. If this doesn%26#039;t work, they will then give you oral antibiotics. If that doesn%26#039;t work the last resort is Accutane.|||according to my experience it is a good idea to wash your face with non-perfumed and non-oily soap at least two times per day

i hop it will help|||I%26#039;ve heard Proactiv%26#039;s really good, but for me, I just use Clearasil Ultra, and I haven%26#039;t had any big breakouts since a week or two after I began using it. I would just try a bunch of different kinds and see what works for you.

Any dermatologist in tha house?...i hav very dark circle around ma eyes plz help.?

hi .... ive got this very dark circles around ma both eyes. it really sucks and it aint goin no matter wat i do.

(applied garnier). d%26#039;yu kno any cure lyk sum massage to increase bloodflow n stuff lyk tht ? or any cream with no sideeffects..|||There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11鈥?/a>

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:

Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water %26amp; stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath %26amp; let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K %26amp; Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

To hide dark circles, you can use YSL concealer or salmon concealer..

http://www.cleansecolonblog.com Cleanse Colon Blog writes about colon cleanse home remedies and review colon cleanse products.|||You%26#039;ll probably hate this, but this could be because of either sleep deficiencies or lack of vitamins and nutrients. For a week, sleep 7-8 hours every day, and find yummy, healthy recipes for fruit and vegetables. Vary your fruit and vegetables. Also, take a Super B-Complex Vitamin. This contains, iron, fiber, calcium, the list goes on and on.

My dermatologist & obgyn have different views on acne medications.....?

My obgyn said to go to my dermatologist when I called and said I was having pregnancy acne on my face, neck, shoulders %26amp; back.

My dermatologist prescribed the following: (yes I told her I was pregnant)

Brevoxyl creamy wash - does have benzoyl peroxide in it but my derm. said that it was a wash - put it on in the shower and rinse it off. b/c it was a wash that is rinsed off it wouldn%26#039;t be absorbed into the skin.

Evoclin foam (category b)

Finacea (category b)

My obgyn is basically saying that it%26#039;s my choice to take these but she%26#039;s not giving her blessing - or really telling me what else I could take instead.

Anyone take any of these during pregnancy?

Suggestions?|||the ob-gyn does not want the liability of telling you

things are ok then if there is a problem .............

I wouldn%26#039;t want a dermatologist to deliver my baby. I would go with the skin advice from the skin Dr.|||My personal thoughts is that you have a GREAT OB - an OB should have the health of mom and baby in mind. Just because they are category B does not mean that it is safe.

The AAP has stated that %26quot;no drug has been PROVEN safe for the unborn baby%26quot;.

Class B simply means that EITHER there aren%26#039;t adequate studies or that THOUGH there adverse reactions to animal studies, there have been no studies or no adverse reactions shown in humans. - IT DOESN%26#039;T MEAN IT IS SAFE

I believe that, like everything, you need to weigh the pros and cons. We live in a %26#039;dirty world%26#039; and cannot keep ourselves and our unborn babies from everything that is risky, but we need to do what we can to protect them and give them the best start possible. For that reason - use wisdom and discretion, weigh the pros and cons, and make an educated and informed decision regarding this for your own body and baby.

I PERSONALLY would not take this medication - I would simply %26#039;deal%26#039; with the acne for 9 months - it is only 9 months of my life. But then again, I never even took a Tylenol for a headache for my pregnancies.|||If it were me I would not use the meds from the dermatologist. Have you tried anything over the counter? I use Clinique and used it throughout my pregnancy. If you go to the Clinique counter at your mall they will help you find the right products for your skin type and none of them would harm your baby.

I know acne stinks, but for some of us it%26#039;s just a part of pregnancy...it won%26#039;t last forever...good luck!!|||i would go with the advice from the obgyn. yah the skin doctor would know more about ur skin, when ur not pregnant, but the obgyn would know more about the effects on the baby.

Freckles...dermatologist?

Should a person with moles and freckles get them checked out my a dermatologist? How often? What sparks concerns to see a doctor?|||Freckles are sexy, keep an eye on the moles. If they begin to itch or change colour, or shape, then you should get them looked at. Otherwise they should be right.|||Yes, you should definitely have them checked at least once a year. More often if you notice them changing in anyway (growing, becoming irritated, darkening in color). Some signs of abnormal %26#039;freckles%26#039; is anything very dark, nearly black in color, and things with abnormal borders, meaning not circular, but in odd shapes. However, even things that don%26#039;t match this description could be cause for concern, especially if they begin to grow, changes colors, etc. The safest thing you can do is schedule an appointment with a dermatologist and have a thorough check up, and let him/her recommend how frequently you should have check ups. Best of luck.|||Any change in color/size/darkness of the mole..not so sure about freckles. Although if you have freckles/sun spots/burn easily that highly increases your dangers to sun exposure on your moles. It would be very smart to get any moles checked out as soon as possible, schedule an appointment with a dermatologist, it is worth your time.|||Freckles are ok. Only worry about new moles particularly if they are rough and/or itchy. Doctors recommend that if you notice anything you are not sure about then they are happy to check it out and put your mind at rest.

PS I forgot to say that I find freckles extremely attractive (its why I%26#039;ve been married for 30 years) so don%26#039;t think about having them removed|||Some moles are cancerous, but it is rare. You can have moles removed and freckles can be removed as well thanks to breakthroughs in laser technology.|||if you are concerned get them checked first, then after monitor them and if they change in any way get them checked asap to make sure that they aren%26#039;t turning cancerous.|||Consult your doctor. Don%26#039;t get rid of them unless it%26#039;s for a medical reason. Trust me, I know.

My dermatologist told me I had eczema....?

...around my nose and under my bottom lip, but when i saw the definition of eczema it said people who have it experience dry, red, cracked, and itchy skin. My skin is very dry but its not THAT bad. The spots that she was talking about when she said I have eczema are extremely dry with little white bumps (I can sometimes even pluck out the little white insides with tweezers)....Is this another form of eczema or something? The dermatologist seemed pretty sure that it was eczema.|||it is eczema you can pricked the white stuff just dont...

it might get infected try using hydrocotison they gave me that.|||Hi Red Roses

Here is a herb remedy that will work.

1. Take 1-3 droppersful of Echinacea Plus Tincture (at herbdoc.com or another qualified site) to strengthen the immune system.

2. Rub Garlic oil ALL over the affected area (Garlic will kill anything if you use enough of it)

3. Give 1-3 glasses of Activated Charcoal Slurry per day (to absorb the toxins out of the blood)

4. Mix equal parts of Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery Elm Powder and Activated Charcoal Powder together (absorbs the toxins externally)

5. Apply a thin layer of this mixture over the AFFECTED area(s).

6. Continue this treatment, until the desired Results are achieved.

This is healing at it%26#039;s highest point.

Cause

Eczema is often called Dermatitis, and may be a symptom of an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. Eczema can be due to allergies, allergies secondary to digestive disorders such as hydrochloric acid deficiency, rashes secondary to immune diseases, genetic metabolic disorders, and/or nutritional deficiencies, especially of niacin (vitamin B3) and B6, as well as other B vitamins.

To minimize your risk of developing eczema, avoid irritating substances, wear natural nonirritating materials, use soothing ointments, and check to see if dietary, nutritional, and/or and allergy-causing factors need to be considered.

Other ideas that will help:

Juice Therapy: The following juice combinations can help speed healing: black currant and red grapes; carrot, beet, spinach, cucumber, and parsley; and wheat grass juice.

Nutritional Supplementation: Vitamin A and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid), an omega-6 essential fatty acid found in high quantities in evening primrose oil, have both been shown to improve the symptoms of eczema. Vitamin E. Other useful supplements for preventing and reversing eczema include vitamin B complex, vitamin B6, vitamin E, magnesium, and zinc.

Topical Treatment: Apply evening primrose oil directly to cracked and sore areas of the skin. A topical paste made from ginkgo and licorice root extract has also been shown to improve eczema symptoms.

Best of health to you|||oh ya it is girl i hope ull get better soon it can afect ur life to.

To dermatologist out there?

how can i treat my dandruff comes and go. i cant bare it|||Is it psoriasis, dermatitis, or just plain dandruff? Is on on exposed skin or just your hair?

The easiest answer without knowing your exact condition is this...

1. Use a coal tar shampoo on your scalp (Like T-Gel) or similar dandruff products which can be bought at Walmart...

2. Don%26#039;t use conditioner all the way down to the roots...(Makes it worse)

3. Getting some sunshine helps dandruff and psoriasis...May I recomend a local pool? The chlorine seems to help too...

If the problem still persists very badly or covers a large portion of your body then you should see a dermatologist so they can give you prescription treatments...|||First off I get that too It is cuz I am not drinking enough water. Dehydration will cause that. Try drinking the recommened amt of water daily with of course the use of a dandruff shampoo. I always know when I am running low on water every 2 months or so my scalp itches so bad and I have dandruff drink the water|||Dandruff is the fungal deposition. There is a shampoo with the medicine Ketokonazol (Antifungal) which is the complete solution to it.Apply it twice a week and you will definately get result, as it is trusted formula.

Dermatologist & armpit sweating ?

i sweat excessively under my armpits, no matter what the temperature. i know a lot of people have this problem. i%26#039;m going to the dermatologist today for other facial reasons, but would they be able to do anything about my sweating? since it%26#039;s like skin related, i%26#039;d assume that they%26#039;d be able to prescribe something for it.

has anyone else gotten something that actually works from their dermatologist?|||Yes, your Dermo should be able to help. Also, I have heard Botox injections help too.|||i got botox done to help tht. i actually starts to work in about a month and its long lasting

Dermatologist question!?

iv been referred and would like to know what happens roughly because i have no idea! i have bad feet and am in the army!|||Hiiyaa :)

Your dermatologist will ask you about your problem and will examine your feet and tell you what kind of fugus/infection etc... you have. She/He will tell you what you can do to help it and will prescribe some cream or tablets for it. Or whatever you need.. They will probably give you a follow-up appointment to check that the cream is working and thats about it.

Good Luck and i hope your feet are better soon :D

Byee

x |||The doctor will get medical history from you and then examine your skin. He/She will probably prescribe some sort of steroid cream or anti-fungal depending upon the problem. He/She make take some skin scrapings to test for the exact cause of your problem. |||Ur feet tend to sweat more than others and yet you wear army boots.

I'm going to the dermatologist...?

tommorow night for acne and i was wondering if i could get some opinions on any specific medication that works good.

also, i think i herd that birth control helps acne? and it also regulates your period right? my period is off alot so do you think i should ask the doctor about that? which birth controls work good?

thanks in advance :D|||I think all these questions will be answered when you talk to your doctor.

Dermatologist ?? *:)?

Hi. I am currently a junior in high school and I want to be a Dermatologists. I know the schooling I have to undergo to do this but i am scarred that it might take a great toll on my personal life (I%26#039;m only going to be in my 20%26#039;s). I know I have to do 4 years of regular undergraduate school, another +4 of medical school, and an internship.

MY QUESTION IS:

Is there a way I can juggle my personal life (parties, fun, working, etc.) with the hard work i have too do to become a dermatologists???

I JUST NEED SOME GOOD SUGGESTIONS !!

Thank you in advance !!

*:)|||I%26#039;m sure you%26#039;ll have to make some sacrifices when it comes to your personal life, but if being a dermatologist is really what you want to do it will be worth it.

Dermatologist......?

How much $ does it cost to go to a dermatologist........im not looking for an exact amount but a rough estimate is more liike it........its about consulting acne problems.........|||You%26#039;re not covered on insurance? I would first get a referral from your family doctor, and then set up an appointment with the dermatologist... ask the receptionist to quote you on what you want to have done. It depends on the dermatologist but I would think at least a couple hundred dollars. But you never know till you try, no point in speculating.|||Don%26#039;t go to them they are a rip off. A friend of mind put me on to this stuff called Nel%26#039;s Smoother skin and it cleared up my acne within day and now that%26#039;s all i use...but i went to one and they charged me 500 dollars and my skin looked the same. i went to this site...www.forrazorbumps.com. ordered me a jar and the cleanser and i%26#039;m straight now..no more acne. and when they come back i just use the cream. TRUST ME IT WORKS...DON%26#039;T GIVE THEM UR MONEY. spend 15 to 25 dollars and you%26#039;ll be good.|||if you have insureance not much $5 a vist when I was with NJTransit. With out market rate.

. can I have a BA please|||my dad is a dermatologist and it doesn%26#039;t cost more than $20 bucks to get a check up sometimes he even does it for free

hope that helps!

Dermatologist?

i am a freshman in high school and would really like to be a dermatologist when i am older. what would i need to do to become one? i know i have to go to college and med school but could you tell me a bit about the career and how long it takes to be able to practice?|||you can go to Monster.com. They have a career advice page. You can find out how much they make and what the job entails. Good luck!|||four years of uni

four years of med schol

2 -3 years of residency

a few more years to specialize in dermatology

in total, it will average to about twelve years. I depends on the school. It seems like a lot, but time goes by so fast, especially after highschool.

In highschool, take all the sciences and maths. but what%26#039;s more important is to refine your study habits, and find out what works for you.

Dermatologist Procedure??

What does spraying liquid nitrogen and using a certain light on skin actually do?|||As it is understood, liquid nitrogen freezing of some lesions of delicate skin, is quite safe and elegant in results, (even scars can be erased) if performed by a certified dermatologist.....the liquid nitrogen is applied directly over the lesion to be excised, and the depth is determined by the time the cotton swab impregnated with the nitrogen stays in the lesion....(seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the depth)

It is known that the tissue touched by the nitrogen freezes and dies, falling off without leaving a scar (if applied by physician)

Certain light?...could be laser beam, woods light, who knows?

Your doctor can tell you the specifics and we can comment after that....

Dermatologist/Lighter skin?

I want to lighten my skin 2-3 shades.. Is that possible? Can a dermatologist help me do it without operation? Is it expensive? This is exactly what I want to have done:

1.) Pimples

2.) Lighter skin

3.) Even skin tone|||I would use one of the Aveno products.

It really works.

On my face, around my mouth and chin is darker than my face.

Once I used Aveno, it worked like a charm, and my skin lightened. It also helps with pimples.

But if you want even better pimple blocker, use neutrogena facial wash grapefruit.

If you are not a regular person who washes their face every time you brush, i would use them in the shower. Thats what I do

Dermatologist answer please.?

what does benzoyl peroxide do to prevent acne in your skin? chemically, biologically etc..... does it work, how should I use it?

also, how does salicyclic acid compare? how does it work?|||salicylic acid is used for mild acne..

benzoyl peroxide is recommended for severe acne.

Dermatologists!!! or people who have been to a dermatologist!!! HELP!!?

so i used to have acne and now i have scars, the pors on my nose r sooo cloged! my skin tone is way neven. and it some pleaces on my face i have lil bumps((like pinples but alot smaller)) i have tryed so many thing to make my skin better but i give up! im just gonna go see a dermatologist!! so here r my questions. please help! even if u cant answer ALL the questions. please answer what u can PLEASE!!

1)will a dermatologist be able to help with my problems?

2)do i just call and make a apoitment? and what do i say, cause im sure they probbly need to see my skin to know whats wrong right? i cant just explain it over the phone. so what do i say??

3)what r the names on the skin conditions i have??

4) how much do u think it would cost to fix my problems?

XOXOXOXO!!!

Becky|||1) Yes, a dermatologist will probably be able to help with your problems. They may not be able to make your skin perfect, but they can help you improve it.

2) That depends on the type of insurance you have. You need to check and see what your insurance company%26#039;s rules are for specialists. Generally speaking, if you have a PPO, you can just call the dermatologist and ask for an appointment. If you have an HMO, you have to go through your primary care provider (your usual doctor) and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. Be aware that most dermatologists are insanely busy and it may be weeks before your appointment.

3) I don%26#039;t know, but based on your description, I would tell them that you have acne, combination skin, and some kind of rash (the bumps that you described).

4) I have no idea - again, that depends on your insurance. Some insurance plans won%26#039;t cover prescriptions that are for completely cosmetic problems. Some will cover them, but only if your doctor fills out a special form declaring that the treatment is medically necessary. Without insurance coverage, dermatological treatment can get quite expensive. When you talk to the dermatologist, explain to them that cost is a factor.|||The doctor will help. You will need to make an appoinment. Do you have insurance to pay for it?|||Becky you should check out natural cures for acne and scaring.

The acne remedies youve tried never really heled did they? well try something they dont want you to know.

Coconut Oil or Neem Oil will clear Acne, And if you take a asprin and cut it with 50% purified water and use it as a paste on a bandaid and place over the scar it will break down the hard tissue. Here is where I got the info.

#1: Apple Cider Vinegar

27 Yea 3 Nay

3/17/2007: Nastaran (diddl_and_moon@yahoo.com) from Urmia, Iran writes: %26quot;Apple Cider Vinegar and Garlic cure my pimples in just 5 days. I use twice a day acv on my pimples and just one time garlic on the pimples. it works amazing. have a try.%26quot;

3/12/2007: SM from Ontario, Canada writes: %26quot;I%26#039;ve struggled with acne for about 10 years now, and I%26#039;ll admit I had some major doubts about the apple cider vinegar cure. I tried various medications, including two rounds of Accutane (a powerful antibiotic). The Accutane worked for about a year after I took it, but then things started going back to how they were. I was unbelievably frustrated. I couldn%26#039;t possibly imagine how ACV would work - something which seemed so simple. But it did. I%26#039;m still in shock from the amazing results. I%26#039;m using organic, unfiltered / unpasteurized ACV with %26quot;mother%26quot; (5% acetic acid). I take two tablespoons stirred into a medium-sized glass of water (you%26#039;ll get used to the taste), three times a day. After only a few days, I started seeing a difference. Blemishes stopped appearing almost entirely, and those that did appear were very small. Now, after about two weeks, I%26#039;ve stopped breaking out altogether. My pores have become much smaller, and my skin really does have a new glow to it. I%26#039;m still really shocked when I look in the mirror. The true cures for our ailments come from the earth. God created the elements which compose that which will heal us. Apple cider vinegar is no exception. It truly works. There is nothing to lose - try it! Honestly, if it helped heal me, it can help heal anyone. I%26#039;d like to say thanks to everyone who wrote in to Earth Clinic to express their success with ACV. If it were not for all the positive testimonials, I probably never would have tried it. Thanks Earth Clinic - the information you provided made a major difference in my life. God Bless!%26quot;

ASPIRIN MASK -- PROMISING REMEDY!

4/2/2006: Corrine from Arlington, V A writes, %26quot;I read a blog on the internet about aspirin masks. I tried it and it is unbelievable! My skin looks and feels amazing after just one mask. If you can find aspirin powders, that works best, otherwise plain aspirin will do the trick as well. I emptied 2 aspirin powders in the palm of my hand with a little calamine lotion (just enough to make a creamy paste) and applied to my face in a circular motion and let dry (approx. 5-10 mins.) I then added a little water and and again massaged in a circular motion and then rinsed it all off. A great exfoliator and it worked BETTER than any store bought product I%26#039;ve ever bought! (Aspirin contains salicylic acid which is in a lot of acne products) It also immediately got rid of the redness my skin is prone to having--AMAZING! A MUST TRY.%26quot;|||The best thing to do now is peel your skin, will even out the skin tone, get rid of the lil bumps, remove the scars, smoothen the skin. Of course, no other better person to help you than a dermatologist. Just call and make an appointment, they have to see your skin. Just tell them what you wrote here. The cost depends on the derma professional fees and medications/treatments she%26#039;ll give you. But set aside a budget, it will cost you.

http://asianskincare.wetpaint.com/|||hi!i m sorry i couldnt answer u but i ll go italy this summer.culd u tell me abut italy?write my mail please. kcicek3005@yahoo.com|||You still have acne. Yes, a dermatologist will be able to help you. Get a referral from a friend or someone you trust and make an appointment.

There are lots of good treatments for mild acne all the way to severe, cystic, scarring acne. The doctor will probably start you out with a topical medication that might make the acne worse at first, but stick with it. After using it for a while, you might want to consider a chemical peel or microdermabrasion. They are both great for getting rid of the clogged pores and uneven tone.

Best of luck!|||your problem is pretty minor. it%26#039;s nothing compared to what most people have. i would really like to save you a trip b/c a dermatoligist vist...just to have them talk to you can be about $150...... basicly when you go %26amp; tell the doctor whats been going on they%26#039;re gonna try %26amp; diagnose you. from what you tellin me.. there really is no diagnosis. you just have some minor acne %26amp; some sun spots. for ur face got to walmart %26amp; neutrogena oil free acne wash(orangy yellow color) it costs like 5 or 6 dollars but it works. use it twice aday when you wake up and before you go to bed. if you have the acne on your body, you can use this on your body to. you can also get an oil free moisturizer b/c your face will dry out. for your nose get biore nose strips. they%26#039;re also pretty pricey but again they work.

if you want to go to a dermatoligist go ahead, but if you don%26#039;t have really good insurance it%26#039;s gonna cost you an arm and a leg. i have 2 insurances %26amp; i stilll wound up w/ sum extreeme bills. bet then again it may depend on how high in demand your dermatoligist is.

if you go %26amp; get diagnosed w/ acne the virus( i have it it%26#039;s something you%26#039;re born w/) kinda like the stuf you see on the proactive comercials. ask 4 retin a micro. it%26#039;s really strog so use it seringly. but you can use it was a treatment for your face or it can also be used as spot treatment just about anywhere on your body. i hope all this helps :)|||1. A dematologist will not make your acne go away after the first visit. However, they CAN give you things that will help better than the over the counter products you%26#039;ve most likely tried. They can also give you suggestions that you can do to help your individual skin conditions and concerns.

2. You will most likely need to be referred to a dermatologist, so make an appointment with your doctor, discuss your concerns, and you will most likely get a referral to see a dermatologist.

3. It sounds like you have scarring from acne, called hyperpigmentation, blackheads on your nose, and small under-surface blemishes that are appearing as raised bumps.

4. The cost really all depends on your available health plan.

Some suggestions you can try for your scarring:

*Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel by Murad ($58.00)

*Use a glycolic acid cleanser to help unclog congested skin, dissolve oil and buildup, and exfoliate to promote faster skin renewal, resulting in a more even skin tone.

For your small, pimple-like bumps:

*Mario Badescu Drying Cream. An effective treatment to dry up small under-surface blemishes that appear as raised bumps in oily areas of skin. Aloe rich cream conceals and heals erupted pimples. ($10.00 www.mariobadscu.com)

Going to a derm. is probably your best move because they can analyze the skin accordingly, and offer stronger products based on their knowledge of the skin condition that is most likely more accurate than our own.

Good luck and be well!

I have moderate-to-severe acne. What will my dermatologist prescribe?

I have looked into Retin A but I hear acne gets much worse away.

I know Accutane can also have severe side affects.

TO make things harder, I don%26#039;t have health insurance so I can%26#039;t go to the doctor very often.

With Accutane you have to have blood tests often.

So what are some medications I can look into?|||with no hesitation i would prescribe accutane|||try that murad stuff. it really works believe me.|||Well mate this one i can help you with, growing up through my years i had such severe acne my dermatologist said it was more like a disease, as you can imagine as a 16 yr old boy it was quite devastating. I tried almost everything you can get in pharmacies but then i was prescribed ROAccutane the results were amazing, initially it got worse and dried me right out to the point where i had to apply lip gloss every half an hour, but after six months it cleared me completely, not only my acne but this stuff even helps prevent scaring. However it came at cost, my blood pressure dropped and i ended up very nauseous and lathargic. To me this was a small price to pay because the results were so fantastic. If you do not feel this is right for you mate i can recommend that you try %26#039;Blackmores Natural Vitamins and Acne Tabs%26#039; and try not to wash your face with any facewash%26#039;s, they are full of moisturisers which contain oil which attract dirt into your pores. good luck mate

Dermatologist?

i know they can do stuff with acne on ur face but are they those people who take those lasers to ur face like ive seen on tv cuz i wanna try that cuz of my acne but dont know if they do that ???|||yes, the laser treatment you are referring to is in the works, but is not currently available at Derm. offices. please review the attached link for more info ;o)|||yes, a dermatologist is the person who does that. if you make an appointment with one you can talk to them and ask them all your questions before ever getting any procedures done.|||Try sand paper.|||if you have enough money you can have anything done but im not too sure if they have this yet.|||Wash your face. You wouldnt need a Dr. then.|||no. they prescribe topical medications and pills and stuff to fix your acne. trust me they help cuz they know what theyre doing|||no go to a demeratologist there is this cream you put on your face and your supposed to wash your face everyday my friend has it and acne is gone

ask them about it|||Lasers work very well for acne but it%26#039;s expensive.|||Yes they can do that... but they make some other recommendations first. I struggle with acne too... so I know it%26#039;s not because you don%26#039;t wash your face. You may just be able to take some medication with out all of the lasers.|||talk to your dermatologist about your options. be sure to discuss costs.

I don't have a dermatologist..?

and i need something to treat my acne. I%26#039;ve tried so many treatments that don%26#039;t work. But my insurance won%26#039;t pay for a derm and it costs to much. Is there any way out of this? Because i%26#039;d really like to be perscribed something thats for my skin type.|||I use this acne cream from Walmart and it actually works pretty good for me. I%26#039;ve been using it for years. Its called ZapZyt and I use it every night before I go to bed. Its usually less than $5 at Walmart. It may not work for you but for the price it worth a try. I%26#039;ve also included the website so you can look into some more! Hope this helps! :)|||Even a regular GP can prescribe a antibiotic treatment course or something else topical, however, they%26#039;re usually hit or miss, some times they work if yours isn%26#039;t too bad but a lot of times they don%26#039;t. If you haven%26#039;t already there%26#039;s always birth control, that can some times help as well.

It%26#039;s not usually the Dr visits that are pricey, it%26#039;s the medication they give you that is, like my Dermatologist visit is only $100 per month, but my blood work is $350 a month and my Rx $1800 a month (and that%26#039;s down from $2000 last month).

It sucks but some times if you can get a referral from your GP the insurance will then pick up the tab.|||most dermatological prescirptions are not covered by insurance and even skin treatments done by an esthetician or nurse in an office are costly and not covered. You could try going to your general practioner and have them write up retin a for you and ask if they can do it so it will not be an out of pocket expense.

the best treatments in my opinion for acne are:

isolaz acne light laser

salicylic peels

retin-a or tazorac

benzaclin

and sometimes a short term dosage of antibiotic

products that conatin benzoyl peroxide non otc form

if acne is severe and an ongoing issue you might want to talk to your doctor about accutane|||The only prescription acne medication that you need a derm for is Accutane. All other prescriptions can be written by your doctor. Head over to www.acne.org, which is this great site that people can relate to each other about their acne and you can read up about different prescriptions and what might work for you. :)|||Neather do I -------

Dermatologist visit?

hey i just went to a derm like couple of days ago and he prescribed me amoxil antibiotic and clenia wash for acne. I wanna know that will it get worse before getting better????|||No, Will be helping ya.

Try some cream from your local pharmacy with about 10% benzoyl Peroxide.

Benzoyl Peroxide is commonly used to treat mild acne topically. It consists of two parts benzoyl and one part peroxide. It is a strong bleaching agent, therefore when applied to hair or fabrics, can be decolorized immediately.

Im gonna go see a dermatologist...?

because my skin is horrible, im 15 an i got tons of pimples and holes in my skin, anyway, will seeing one help?? can he get rid of the holes in my skin?? and the pimples?? tone my skin out??|||There are treatments that can really help your skin condition, which sounds like acne. You will have to follow the directions exactly, and be patient. It takes a while to see results; ask the doc how long it will take before you see results. Also, if one treatment doesn%26#039;t work, he/she will try another.|||I went to a dermatologist and saw a major improvement in 6 months. If you have heavy scarring though it may take longer and they can only reduce the appearance of them.

Be prepared for some pain though. For severe acne they perform something called acne surgery. It involves taking a metal sharp (often used to poke finger for a blood test) and poke the zit or scar into the skin. Fresh skin closes over top and you have a smaller scar. The first couple times are painful; but as the skin creams and drugs he gives you start working it will become less painful.

Trust me. I tried every cream possible for a year and in 6 months at the dermatologist I saw a real improvement. Even if you don%26#039;t get clear skin now you%26#039;ll have far less scarring later in life.|||I had acne all my life ( I am 32) and suffered terribly. I wished someone told me to go to a dermatologist when I was around 15! Even later in life nothing helped until my normal GP saw me without foundation, gave me steroid based lotion for my face and after 6 months of hard work on my part and no visible improvement my spots have cleared up and I did not have a spot in a year and I suffered no side effects of any kind. It gets to show there is a solution for everybody, for some it is pills for other creams, but it pays to see someone for advice.

Good Luck.|||I would think so.

They are trained to tell difference between real acne %26amp; other skin conditions which may be your problem.

There are injections the can give to fill in really deep holes in your face.

Medications to even out skin tone.

I think dermatologist is best move for this situation.|||Everyone always says your going through puberty it%26#039;ll stop when your older.

But when your this age this is when the damage happens, I say definitely go see a dermatologist they know exactly what to prescribe, but book in now, as there is a long waiting list for them.|||Have A Daily Skin Regime! x x

Dermatologist or Pharmacist ???

This is one of my Final Questions, give me some input of pros and cons of becoming a Dermatologist or Pharmacist ?|||Unless you already have four to six years of med school there%26#039;s no sense talking about it. I went to school for four years before med school and changed my mind several times, this is the way it happens. some classes went from 44 people to three.

Everyone changes their minds due to the classes or the theory. If you already have the time in then if you want to take it easy, I would go for the allergist/dermatologist.

Dermatologist question?

one of my cousin went to a dermatologist and her acne clear up completely, so for thoes of you whho went to a dermmatologist, did your acne clear up???? Sooo if i stick to the regimen that my dermatologist recomended, how long will it taake my acne to clear up???|||It depends what your derm. gives you. He might not give you the same thing your cousin got and your skin is different also, so it might not take to the same things. You can try though. I%26#039;ve found Proactiv works very well, if used exactly like the directions say to!|||I went to many dermatolgists over the years and nothing ever really stuck. Creams, injections, even antibiotics for those really bad breakouts. Then I met a girl who practiced Asian medicine in LA and we became friends. She suggested that I stop eating processed food, like wheat and sugar. So I tried that and in one month my skin was CLEAR! I cant believe that was the answer all those years!

About 95% of the food in a grocery store is processed: crackers, bread, cookies, cakes, etc. If you read the back of a package and it say ENRICHED WHEAT, that means processed. And sugar, sugar, sugar..bad. some ppl have sensitivity to these processed foods and it does something to your hormones and then you get the acne. My skin is awesome now and you wouldn%26#039;t even know that I ever struggled with it. Try it, cant hurt! Eating healthy is more expensive but its so worth it.

Dermatologist tools!!!???

what would a dermatologist use at his or her office?|||prescription pad?|||Depending on your condition they may apply a face cream or use a micro-dermabration (sp?) tool that removes all dead skin. Other than that, unless you are getting a special job done, they should just be examining :)|||Pumice Stone!
