Okay to go to dermatologist?

So from what I%26#039;ve heard, going to a dermatologist can really help your acne. I%26#039;m only 13 and my acne isn%26#039;t really bad but i still have pimples and i have a lot on my back. So do you think its okay to go even if it%26#039;s not very severe at all??|||Of course! Acne products are required by law to only medicate 2 layers of your skin. The only way you can reach the third layer, is if you go to a dermatologist.|||Sure! Actually going to a dermatologist will help keep your acne from getting to be severe and having lasting scars and issues. You will learn good skin care, what works for your skin and how important sun protection is. This will help you to have good skin for the rest of your life!

And if it%26#039;s just not in the budget for your family right now or you don%26#039;t have medical coverage that will cover such a visit; there are some products available over the counter that might help.

Try Acne Free%26#039;s system. It%26#039;s a 3 part system consisting of a cleanser, a toner and a repair lotion. My son (also 13) was having a lot of big skin issues and the Acne Free has helped him a lot! The only thing we added to the system was a more aggressive scrubbing grains to help open pores up faster. He%26#039;s got some issues on his back also and he just uses the same stuff and they clear up. Being a boy, he%26#039;s not quite as %26quot;dedicated%26quot; to it as he should be but it has made a big difference.

We had talked with the doctor about something for his skin a couple of visits ago and this last visit the doctor wanted to know what he was using; the difference was that noticeable. Acne Free is available in a lot of stores, isn%26#039;t terribly expensive and it works.

Bear some things in mind. (1) It takes a good 4-6 weeks before you will see full results with a skin care program. We did see results in a couple weeks but it was an improvement not a total result. (2) Resist the urge to use a moisturizer, especially if there is any type of oil in it. Oil from your skin is what is plugging up your pores and causing the acne, don%26#039;t add more.

(3) Yes, these products do cause some drying; that%26#039;s why we added the scrubbing grains to lift the dryer skin off. If it gets too dry, don%26#039;t use as much of the %26quot;repair%26quot; lotion. Use it once a day (at night is best) instead of twice.

And use sunscreen! When you%26#039;re older and not wrinkled or getting treatments for skin cancer, you will be glad you did. The sun will also make your acne scars more noticeable and appear redder. Pick one that%26#039;s not oil based; might have to do some label reading.
