What will the dermatologist do?

ok, i%26#039;ve had pretty bad acne for the past about 2 years. I%26#039;ve used so many products, and nothing really seems to work. Im going to the dermatologist at the end of august. Currenttly im using neutrogena acne stress control cream cleanser and the neutrogena acne stree control hydrating acne treatment. What does the dermatologist normally give to you to get rid of your acne. and how long will it take to see results. Aslo, should i continue using the products im using now, even after i visit the dermatologist?

please, if anyone can give me some good advice on helping me with my acne, i would really feel better about myself.

and pleas dont say, try proactiv, because i already have.

also, whats a good foundation for acne skin?|||no foundation-use a tinted moisturizer!

exfoliate at night, cleanse in the morning, use facial toner for both, and deep cleanse once a week. try an olive oil salt paste everyday for a week, then alternate days till it clears up. i also recommend Dr. Payot fPate Gris or blemishes and scars (if you have them idk). It is a true miracle cream. just put on trouble spots! also i would recommend getting your skin evaluated at Bobby Brown or something like such a company if you are dead set on foundation. i wrote the same thing for another question so you may see this somewhere else. try sleeping on your back.

good luck!|||A dermatologist is a doctor who specialises in skin conditions. Therefore, like any doctor, she or he will put you on medication, probably a form of antibiotic. This will clear the condition, but the symptoms are likely to reappear in due course.

He/she might also ask you about your diet and what products you are using,so be honest and answer as best as you can.

I cannot guarantee that your acne will disappear for good. I found dermatologists useless.I would try something different, like alternative medicine, herbs or acupuncture. Good luck anyway|||I%26#039;ve went to 2 dermatologists before and the first one gave me differin gel + some antibiotic pills to control acne from the inside. The second one gave me this new stuff called ziana and the same antibiotic pills. You probably shouldn%26#039;t take your old stuff after you see them, but it won%26#039;t hurt to talk to your dermatologist and ask. Results take awhile, about 10-12 weeks. I%26#039;ve had acne for a long time too, the best thing I can tell you is to stay consistent with your daily routine. Wash with your new medicine when they tell you to and take your pills when you have to. Just wait to see the dermatologist it will be worth it! Good luck!
