Dermatologist and nudity?

I was referred to a dermatologist with a skin problem on my penis, so I knew I%26#039;d have to take my trousers off. However after a very unpleasant session with a rude registrar I was told I would have to be totally naked for the consultant. If I had realised that full nudity would be required I鈥檇 have asked to see a different registrar, by then it was too late. Is it usual when visiting a dermatologist (say for a scalp problem) to have to be totally naked ? Would this only be on the first visit or would it be on follow up too ?|||Usually for skins prblems, whole body needs to be examined.

Total skin is single and largest organ of the body. What affects in one place might spred to other parts.|||if you thought u were going to be taking your trousers off anyway theres nothing else to be embarrassed about. dont worry about theres always some1 with the same problem as u or even more embarrassing and they see it everyday as they have to check every1 to see if the condition has spread, so dont think about it theyll be use to it

good luck :] xx|||well, there is nothing to lose if you are a male. that their job to check if you have it on the other part of the body. Have it done once then keep return for more check up.|||Hi there sorry for your troubles. Many see dermatologists and are not required to strip. Always have a chaperon. A total visual is a good idea once a year to check for suspicious moles or other skin lesions that can lead to skin cancer. To do this, one should be given a suitable blanket and of course a chaperon regardless of the sex of the doctor because there are inappropriate professionals out there. I don%26#039;t know what a registrar is in regards to a clinic. Could you mean the receptionist? Many doctors do not know how badly their offices are run and it does help if you complain to the doctor about his staff%26#039;s piss poor attitude. There are plenty of helpful professional acting people out there that can do a better job. I hope the physician was helpful with your problem. If he doesn%26#039;t know what your skin problem is, time to see someone else. Remember, doctors are just practicing medicine. May you get better soon and demand the treatment you deserve. May you have a nicer weekend.|||Given it was a penis problem-not unreasonable to strip off that area.As for total nudity and scalp problems -this would be very unusual and probably voyeuristic|||Ok so I%26#039;m not a man but I have seen a dermatologist for a problem on my scalp and they do examine you all over to see if it has spread or if there are any other patches elsewhere. Its completely normal, but if you%26#039;ve had a problem with the registrar just complain to the hospital, then at least hopefully no-one else will have to put up with that attitude.
