Becky|||1) Yes, a dermatologist will probably be able to help with your problems. They may not be able to make your skin perfect, but they can help you improve it.

2) That depends on the type of insurance you have. You need to check and see what your insurance company%26#039;s rules are for specialists. Generally speaking, if you have a PPO, you can just call the dermatologist and ask for an appointment. If you have an HMO, you have to go through your primary care provider (your usual doctor) and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. Be aware that most dermatologists are insanely busy and it may be weeks before your appointment.

3) I don%26#039;t know, but based on your description, I would tell them that you have acne, combination skin, and some kind of rash (the bumps that you described).

4) I have no idea - again, that depends on your insurance. Some insurance plans won%26#039;t cover prescriptions that are for completely cosmetic problems. Some will cover them, but only if your doctor fills out a special form declaring that the treatment is medically necessary. Without insurance coverage, dermatological treatment can get quite expensive. When you talk to the dermatologist, explain to them that cost is a factor.|||The doctor will help. You will need to make an appoinment. Do you have insurance to pay for it?|||Becky you should check out natural cures for acne and scaring.

The acne remedies youve tried never really heled did they? well try something they dont want you to know.

Coconut Oil or Neem Oil will clear Acne, And if you take a asprin and cut it with 50% purified water and use it as a paste on a bandaid and place over the scar it will break down the hard tissue. Here is where I got the info.

#1: Apple Cider Vinegar

27 Yea 3 Nay

3/17/2007: Nastaran (diddl_and_moon@yahoo.com) from Urmia, Iran writes: %26quot;Apple Cider Vinegar and Garlic cure my pimples in just 5 days. I use twice a day acv on my pimples and just one time garlic on the pimples. it works amazing. have a try.%26quot;

3/12/2007: SM from Ontario, Canada writes: %26quot;I%26#039;ve struggled with acne for about 10 years now, and I%26#039;ll admit I had some major doubts about the apple cider vinegar cure. I tried various medications, including two rounds of Accutane (a powerful antibiotic). The Accutane worked for about a year after I took it, but then things started going back to how they were. I was unbelievably frustrated. I couldn%26#039;t possibly imagine how ACV would work - something which seemed so simple. But it did. I%26#039;m still in shock from the amazing results. I%26#039;m using organic, unfiltered / unpasteurized ACV with %26quot;mother%26quot; (5% acetic acid). I take two tablespoons stirred into a medium-sized glass of water (you%26#039;ll get used to the taste), three times a day. After only a few days, I started seeing a difference. Blemishes stopped appearing almost entirely, and those that did appear were very small. Now, after about two weeks, I%26#039;ve stopped breaking out altogether. My pores have become much smaller, and my skin really does have a new glow to it. I%26#039;m still really shocked when I look in the mirror. The true cures for our ailments come from the earth. God created the elements which compose that which will heal us. Apple cider vinegar is no exception. It truly works. There is nothing to lose - try it! Honestly, if it helped heal me, it can help heal anyone. I%26#039;d like to say thanks to everyone who wrote in to Earth Clinic to express their success with ACV. If it were not for all the positive testimonials, I probably never would have tried it. Thanks Earth Clinic - the information you provided made a major difference in my life. God Bless!%26quot;

ASPIRIN MASK -- PROMISING REMEDY!

4/2/2006: Corrine from Arlington, V A writes, %26quot;I read a blog on the internet about aspirin masks. I tried it and it is unbelievable! My skin looks and feels amazing after just one mask. If you can find aspirin powders, that works best, otherwise plain aspirin will do the trick as well. I emptied 2 aspirin powders in the palm of my hand with a little calamine lotion (just enough to make a creamy paste) and applied to my face in a circular motion and let dry (approx. 5-10 mins.) I then added a little water and and again massaged in a circular motion and then rinsed it all off. A great exfoliator and it worked BETTER than any store bought product I%26#039;ve ever bought! (Aspirin contains salicylic acid which is in a lot of acne products) It also immediately got rid of the redness my skin is prone to having--AMAZING! A MUST TRY.%26quot;|||The best thing to do now is peel your skin, will even out the skin tone, get rid of the lil bumps, remove the scars, smoothen the skin. Of course, no other better person to help you than a dermatologist. Just call and make an appointment, they have to see your skin. Just tell them what you wrote here. The cost depends on the derma professional fees and medications/treatments she%26#039;ll give you. But set aside a budget, it will cost you.

http://asianskincare.wetpaint.com/|||hi!i m sorry i couldnt answer u but i ll go italy this summer.culd u tell me abut italy?write my mail please. kcicek3005@yahoo.com|||You still have acne. Yes, a dermatologist will be able to help you. Get a referral from a friend or someone you trust and make an appointment.

There are lots of good treatments for mild acne all the way to severe, cystic, scarring acne. The doctor will probably start you out with a topical medication that might make the acne worse at first, but stick with it. After using it for a while, you might want to consider a chemical peel or microdermabrasion. They are both great for getting rid of the clogged pores and uneven tone.

Best of luck!|||your problem is pretty minor. it%26#039;s nothing compared to what most people have. i would really like to save you a trip b/c a dermatoligist vist...just to have them talk to you can be about $150...... basicly when you go %26amp; tell the doctor whats been going on they%26#039;re gonna try %26amp; diagnose you. from what you tellin me.. there really is no diagnosis. you just have some minor acne %26amp; some sun spots. for ur face got to walmart %26amp; neutrogena oil free acne wash(orangy yellow color) it costs like 5 or 6 dollars but it works. use it twice aday when you wake up and before you go to bed. if you have the acne on your body, you can use this on your body to. you can also get an oil free moisturizer b/c your face will dry out. for your nose get biore nose strips. they%26#039;re also pretty pricey but again they work.

if you want to go to a dermatoligist go ahead, but if you don%26#039;t have really good insurance it%26#039;s gonna cost you an arm and a leg. i have 2 insurances %26amp; i stilll wound up w/ sum extreeme bills. bet then again it may depend on how high in demand your dermatoligist is.

if you go %26amp; get diagnosed w/ acne the virus( i have it it%26#039;s something you%26#039;re born w/) kinda like the stuf you see on the proactive comercials. ask 4 retin a micro. it%26#039;s really strog so use it seringly. but you can use it was a treatment for your face or it can also be used as spot treatment just about anywhere on your body. i hope all this helps :)|||1. A dematologist will not make your acne go away after the first visit. However, they CAN give you things that will help better than the over the counter products you%26#039;ve most likely tried. They can also give you suggestions that you can do to help your individual skin conditions and concerns.

2. You will most likely need to be referred to a dermatologist, so make an appointment with your doctor, discuss your concerns, and you will most likely get a referral to see a dermatologist.

3. It sounds like you have scarring from acne, called hyperpigmentation, blackheads on your nose, and small under-surface blemishes that are appearing as raised bumps.

4. The cost really all depends on your available health plan.

Some suggestions you can try for your scarring:

*Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel by Murad ($58.00)

*Use a glycolic acid cleanser to help unclog congested skin, dissolve oil and buildup, and exfoliate to promote faster skin renewal, resulting in a more even skin tone.

For your small, pimple-like bumps:

*Mario Badescu Drying Cream. An effective treatment to dry up small under-surface blemishes that appear as raised bumps in oily areas of skin. Aloe rich cream conceals and heals erupted pimples. ($10.00 www.mariobadscu.com)

Going to a derm. is probably your best move because they can analyze the skin accordingly, and offer stronger products based on their knowledge of the skin condition that is most likely more accurate than our own.

Good luck and be well!
